PROGRAM NOTES & EDUCATIONAL USE
Composed for the Philadelphia Orchestra's "Sound All Around" chamber concerts, The Adventures of Mary's Little Little Lamb is the first of several pieces I wrote as variations on familiar children's songs. This approach engages and entertains the youngest listeners, while demonstrating the sounds of contrasting instruments, and the various moods that one melody can convey in varied settings.
